Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite is being recognized for its work to improve treatment of patients suffering heart attacks.

Dallas Regional Medical Center (DRMC) recently received Healthgrades’ 2020 Patient Safety Excellence Award for the third year in a row.

Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite has been awarded the Patient Safety Excellence Award by Healthgrades, recognizing the work the hospital does in avoiding potentially adverse effects during procedures.

Dallas Regional Medical Center (DRMC) was recently awarded an “A” from The Leapfrog Group’s spring 2020 Hospital Safety Grade. The designation recognizes the hospital’s efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the United States. This marks the fourth time in a row that DRMC has received an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade.

Rapid-result COVID-19 testing is now available at two Mesquite primary care clinics affiliated with the Dallas Regional Medical Center. One clinic is at 2704 N. Galloway Ave., Suite 103, and the other at 820 E. Cartwright Rd., Suite 100.

Four thousand pounds of fresh produce was delivered to Dallas Regional Medical Center Thursday morning. The produce was courtesy of the Produce Alliance Foundation, the charity arm of Produce Alliance LLC and their distributor Brothers Produce.

There have been several reports across the country in the drop in emergency room visits, and Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeing the same.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, the staff of Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite has found a heightened sense of camaraderie in facing COVID-19 head on, and the community found one way to remind them they’ve got their back.

Dallas Regional Medical Center (DRMC) takes senior emergency care to the next level in the Mesquite area by announcing they are now accredited as a Geriatric Emergency Department by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). DRMC is the only hospital in Dallas County with this accreditation, which recognizes that the hospital is focused on the highest standards of care for older adults in our communities.

Members of the Mesquite community gathered in their cars Friday evening at Dallas Regional Medical Center to show their support for healthcare workers and pray for hospital staff. The well-wishers ended their prayer, led by Community Life Church Sunnyvale Campus Pastor Joe Paris, by “lifting a joyful noise” in a chorus of car horns.

A ribbon cutting was held last week for the Silver Steppers Mall Walker Program, a service provided by Dallas Regional Medical Center as part of its Senior Care Services.
